On a recent vacation to South Florida, I had the pleasure of visiting Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Coral Gables, FL. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will share some of the more interesting exhibits and and photos with you. During my trip to Fairchild, there were a number of art exhibits installed including “Garden Lights” by Havana-born artist Jorge Pardo. This installation consists of a series of brightly colored, steel lanterns suspended from various species of tropical trees. Hanging spanish moss puts the final touch on a very romantic environment.
