Historic 1711 house in Rumson, NJ

Project Spotlight

65 years before this nation was a country, the original portion of this house at the front entrance was built alongside this millpond just a stones throw away from the Navesink River in Rumson, NJ.  The original structure was built in 1711, and was part of nearly 850 continuous acres. The historic 1711 house originally known as the Tredwell Estate, is one of Rumson’s most historic mansions. Cross River has been hired to design a property master plan which will include among other things, gardens, swimming pool and a cabana. Part of the master plan will be to take inventory of the many mature trees on the property, and carefully incorporate them into the new plan. Included will be guidelines to protect these trees throughout the construction process and beyond.
